The University Management has approved the request by the Information and Communication Technology Centre (ICTC) of the University mandating all newly admitted students (Year One and Direct Entry) to complete their online registration at the University ICT Centre to checkmate extortion of newly admitted students by cybercafé operators in and around the University.
Consequent upon this approval, commencing from the 2023/2024 academic year, all newly admitted students of the University are expected to proceed to the ICTC for their online registration exercise at a service charge of Three Thousand Naira (₦3,000) only to designated account details accessed through aris.uniport.edu.ng.
All newly admitted students are to note that only duly registered students at the ICTC will proceed further with the registration exercise.

UNIPORT Registration Procedure has been released for those that made it to the UNIPORT admission list, i.e. the newly admitted students. The authorities of the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) have released the guidelines for registration of fresh students for the 2018/2019 academic session.
UNIPORT Registration Deadline For New and Returning Students
UNIPORT Registration deadline for New and Returning Students of the University has been announced by the management of the university. Payment of School Charges and registration for the 2018/2019 Academic Session has since commenced. The registration exercise will end on Friday, 25th January, 2019.
For new students, failure to register before the stated deadline will lead to forfeiture of the admission. For returning students, failutre to pay School Charges and register his/her courses online before the end of Registration on Friday, 25th January, 2019, will lose his/her studentship for the 2018/2019 session. Also note that the lost session shall form part of the total duration allowed for the Programme.
In view of the on-going Industrial Action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), the date for the commencement of lectures will be announced in due course.
UNIPORT Registration Procedure
Step 1: Admission Acceptance
- Go to aris.uniport.edu.ng
- Click ADMISSION STATUS, then click Admission Acceptance
- Enter your Registration Number (JAMB Number/Application Number) and click Search
- Fill in the following data: Email, Phone, then click Accept button.
- Click Continue with Payment to generate your Acceptance Fee Payment Code. You can complete your payment online or print out the Payment Slip generated and pay at any of the approved Banks.
Step 2: Admission Registration
- Go to aris.uniport.edu.ng
- Click ADMISSION STATUS, then click Admission Registration
- Enter your Registration Number (JAMB Number/Application Number) and click Submit
- Fill in all the required data. After completing each section click itsSave button.
Step 3: Admission Eligibility Test
- Go to aris.uniport.edu.ng
- Click ADMISSION STATUS, then click Admission Eligibility Test
- Enter your Registration Number (JAMB Number/Application Number)
- Enter the Password created in Step 2
- Click Search. This will display the area where you will fill in your O-Level and JAMB details. Jamb details applicable to UTME Entry Mode.
- Select Entry Qualification and click the Save button of the section
- Fill in your O-Level details by selecting the Subject and Grade earned, then click Add. If you wish to remove any of the added subjects, select the subject in the lower part of the particular section and click Remove. NOTE: You cannot perform this operation if you have not completed all the prior operations/requirements.
- Fill in your JAMB details (if it is applicable to your Mode of Entry). The procedure is similar to O-Level. Ensure that the sum of scores you enter for each of your JAMB subjects totals to your JAMB score, else your Eligibility Test will fail.
- After completing filling in the required data, click its Eligibility Test Check button. If your Eligibility Test was successful. You will get a message as shown below. At this point you can proceed to pay your school fees ( See Step 4.); otherwise, you will get an Eligibility Test Failed message as well as a list of possible alternative degree course programs you can shop for.
Step 4: Freshers Fee Payment
- Go to aris.uniport.edu.ng
- Click ADMISSION STATUS, then click Fee Payment (Fresh Students)
- Enter your Registration Number (JAMB Number/Application Number)
- Enter the Password created in Step 2
- Click Submit. This will display the amount to be paid.
- Click Continue with Payment to generate your Fee Payment Code. You can complete your payment online or print out the Payment Slip generated and pay at any of the approved Banks. After paying your school fees you can proceed with hardcopies of your credentials for physical verification.
Step 5: Admission Reports
In between the above steps, you may be required to print one or more of the following reports as part of the registration process. At such times, you can always print the report from here by following the steps below:
- Go to aris.uniport.edu.ng
- Click ADMISSION STATUS, then click Admission Reports
- Enter your Registration Number (JAMB Number/Application Number)
- Enter the Password created in Step 2
- Click Search. This will display the area where you will find the links to the following reports:
- Acceptance Form: To be printed and signed by candidate. Forms part of the credentials during verification.
- Provisional Admission Slip: Provisional admissions slip stating the guidelines to complete admission registration.
- Guarantor’s Form: To be printed and signed by candidate. Forms part of the credentials during verification.
- Eligibility Form: To be printed and signed by candidate. Forms part of the credentials during verification.
- Medical Report Form: To be printed and taken to LULU BRIGGS Medical Centre. Forms part of the credentials during verification. Furthermore, candidates need to print this report after successful Eligibility Test and proceed to Medical Centre for examination test. Ensure that your Examination Date is stated in the report; otherwise contact the ICTC to assign a date to you. You can only visit the Medical Centre on the date assigned to you.
- Medical Examination Form: To be printed and taken to LULU BRIGGS Medical Centre. Forms part of the credentials during verification. This is the second form for Medical Examination.
- Letter of Invitation:
- Admission Clearance Form: To be printed after Faculty Officer Verification. Forms part of the documents that you will submit to your Department for filling.
- Deferment Form: Applicable to candidate’s wishing to defer Admission.
- Matriculation Registration Form: To be printed after Faculty Officer Verification. Forms part of the documents that you will submit to your Department for filling.
- Matriculation Oath Form: To be printed after Faculty Officer Verification. Forms part of the documents that you will submit to your Department for filling.
- Biodata Form: To be printed after Faculty Officer Verification. Forms part of the documents that you will submit to your Department for filling.
- Portal Login Info Form: To be printed after Faculty Officer Verification. This form provides the candidate his/her Portal Login information to enable the candidate login for Academic Course Registration.
IMPORTANT INFO
1. Candidates who will not be below 16 years of age by October 31st, 2018 need not proceed with Registration
2. Admitted candidates who have not accepted their admission on the JAMB website (CAPS) should do so latest by Friday September 28th, 2018 or the admission will be withdrawn.
3. Candidates not admitted yet who are yet to upload their O’level results to JAMB website (CAPS) should do so immediately as non upload of O’level Results to JAMB can affect their admission.
