Jamb
Jamb UTME Enables Candidates to gain admission into Hundred Level (Year 1) while Jamb Direct is for admission straight into Two Hundred Level (Year 2). Now you may be wondering, what are the Subjects I need to register in Direct Entry? Another question that comes to mind is, is Jamb Direct Entry Subjects different from Jamb UTME Subject Combination?
The subject to register in Jamb direct entry depends on the course you wish to study at the University. Jamb Direct entry subject combination is the same as UTME subject combination.
If you are a Jamb 2023 direct entry candidate applying for Engineering and your neighbour Who is a UTME Candidate is also going for Engineering, both of you will register the same subjects in Jamb.
Jamb subjects for Engineering are Use of English, Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics (Some schools accept further mathematics in place of General Mathematics). For Law, it is Use of English, Literature, Government and Religious Studies. For Medicine, it is Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Use of English.
Direct Entry Jamb Subject Combination 2023
Like I mentioned above, Jamb UTME and Jamb Direct Entry Subject Combination are the same.
Not Just the same subject combination, you and those writing Jamb UTME will also follow the same Jamb registration procedure like:
- Creation of Jamb Profile
- Enrol NIN For Jamb
- Get Jamb E-pin
- Compulsory Jamb Novels for English
- Go to approved Jamb registration centre to complete registration.
There are only three differences between you as a Direct entry candidate and your younger brother who is taking Normal Jamb. The first one is that you won’t sit for Jamb. Secondly, you will resume school from 200 Level while he will start at 100 Level. Finally, you won’t have to reprint your Direct Entry Slip for Exam Date.
