The story of this movie revolves around the cub, Simba. He is to become the king after his father, Mufasa. However, uncle Scar got evil intentions. He plans to kill both father and son to rule the kingdom. Mufasa gets killed while Simba escapes. Simba then feels as if he is responsible for his father’s death and flees the kingdom. When he grows up, Simba gets to learn how Scar was behind Mufasa’s death. He then returns to reclaim the kingdom.

The Lion King teaches students about responsibility and honor. Also, it gives them a powerful message that no matter how difficult the journey may become, one can still find a way to head to the destination.

#2. Wall-E

If you like Disney movies, then this is one flick that you don’t want to miss. Directed by Andrew Stanton, Wall-E is an incredible film that achieved immense success upon release in 2008. It got a Golden Globe Award for “Best Animated Feature Film” and was included in Time’s list of the “Best Movies of the Decade.”

Wall-E is about a namesake robot who is left alone on the planet earth after humans abandon it. He has a pet cockroach. Together, they spend time together to clean the garbage left behind by humans. One day, Wall-E meets EVE, who has been sent to the planet to find a living plant. Wall-E falls for her. And together, they set out on a journey to figure out the fate of humankind.

This movie teaches students to learn the value of relationships and love. At the same time, it teaches them how humans are destroying the earth by littering and otherwise. The flick tells that the damage is reversible if everyone starts to act more responsibly.

#3. Coco

This is another Disney masterpiece. Released in 2017, the movie bagged not one but two Academy Awards and became the 16th highest-grossing animated film when it came out. The flick also got great critical reviews from Chicago Tribune and USA Today.

Coco is about a boy named Miguel who is a big fan of the musician Ernesto de la Cruz. However, it doesn’t matter how passionate he is about music; his family is strictly against it. He soon became desperate to showcase his musical talents. And before long, he finds himself in the Land of the Deaths. This starts a chain of some very mysterious events, revealing why his family has banned music.

This movie educates children to have passion, optimism, hope, and love for any art form.

#4. Up

Up is a must-watch for everyone and not just students. Directed by Pete Docter, the film was released to the public in 2009. The film became a major hit and garnered two Oscars for “Best Original Score” and “Best Animated Feature.”

This film is about an old man Carl Fredricksen who wishes to visit Paradise Falls. He soon meets a young boy who goes by the name of Russell. Together, they form a friendship and go to the destination. The real adventure begins when Carl decides to take his house with him by tying it to thousands of balloons.

Up is a story of an unusual friendship between an old man and a young boy. It teaches students that nothing is impossible. You can achieve your dream no matter your age limit. All you need is a strong desire to push you forward towards your dream.
